Lisa Quach: Stayed in Room 1111 mid-July. The room had 2 double beds. Bathroom tub could use an upgrade but everything else was clean. The balcony was private and the oceanfront room had an amazing view. Housekeeping came everyday:For elite members, you can go next to the lobby to get water, soda, chips during the day from concierge. You can choose between points or breakfast coupon… the coupon is for the buffet at the restaurant next to the pool area. There is an omelet bar, fruits, meats & cheese, pastries, bacon, sausage, quinoa, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and some other things… it’s not like an all-inclusive resort breakfast but it was not bad at all. Included mimosas. On Friday night, there was also a cocktail hour event for elite members in the lobby/bar. They provided small items as sliders and desserts. Parking for elite members is also reduced. The valet parking guys are soooo nice!They have a schedule of events such as movie night or s’mores…The staff was wonderful. They gave me a small bottle of wine in a gift bag when I mentioned it was my birthday.The casino bar is open until 3am and Angel is one of the best bartenders ever. Makes a really good Miami Vice too! They will give you $30 “match” coupon… go to service desk and they’ll give you what looks like Monopoly money and you can use with your cash to make a bet… gotta spend money to make money.Location: nearby restaurants… there’s a variety within walking distance… for late night, dulce la vida and the spot next door is open until 4am… there is also a Walgreens and 24hour store next the hotel so you can always buy what you need… including liquor. They stop selling liquor at 2am!There are people on the beach to set up chairs for you. You can order food and they’ll bring it to you. Card or Room charge only. There’s also a guy who sells these pineapple slush things inside a pineapple, it’s $20 with liquor and completely worth it!!!Would only stay here if I came back to PR.

Brandon Cleaver: Outstanding experience. The staff was completely awesome. There were a few minor things that came up. But was well overlooked. I wish I remembered everyone’s name who helped. My only complaint was eating outside for breakfast, was a bad experience especially for the price, but they have a bakery inside which I do recommend. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade. That was very much appreciated. Overall amazing experience. One thing that is undeniable was the housekeeping service was outstanding. Absolute kudos to the housekeeping team. The hotel felt very clean and safe!

Jeff Ramsey: I looked at many Google reviews before our visit. I would like to say thanks for all your help. We met up with friends at Condado Vanderbilt to celebrate our birthdays. Let me say booking thru my AMEX Platinum card was a great deal. Breakfast buffet for two daily. Ends around 11 am daily. The value alone for the buffet for two was $100.00. Plus we were able to check in at Noon, if available. We couldn't as our room wasn't ready. Late check out at 4pm. Plust $125.00 resort credit to use for food or drink. We had a Commodore Ocean Front suite which was very nice. Two balconies. PLUS, we had our own butler. Enma, our butler was FANTASTIC!! He emailed me a few days before our trip letting us know he would be our butler and asked if we needed any help. I asked for him to help us arrange ground transportation to and from airport. NOTE, BAHIA Transportation was nice, etc. but was expensive. $110.00 to the Hotel which was about a 15 min ride. Our driver did not lift one finger to help me with my luggage, which we had two large suitcases and two carry ons. I pulled my back the day before so this wasn't good. I asked Enma after arriving to cancel our ride back and got an UBER Black to take us back at the cost of $24.00. Would recommend UBER Black for transportation. Anyway, back to hotel. The staff was so GREAT!! I mean best staff anywhere we have stayed. We have stayed at many fine hotels, Ritz, Intercontinental, Willard in DC,etc. They didn't have no in their vocabulary. When we celebrated my birthday on a Saturday, my wife reached out to Enma, our butler for help. He set up the room while we were at the pool with a bday cake, balloons, plates for charcuterie board my wife wanted to prepare, 8 champagne glasses, as well as a bottle of champagne on ice!!! I didn't see any charge either on my bill for all this. My wife wanted to tip him specifically for this occasion, so she found him and gave him a tip. Victor, working the entrance area of hotel was spectacular. Made sure to greet me by name every time we entered or left hotel. Paiulo, hostess in buffet was so great in making sure we got what we needed in the restaurant where the buffet was. Amid made spectacular omelets for us at the omelet station. Enma, our butler was very instrumental in checking in during our stay seeing how were were doing via text. Like having your own assistant. He was very helpful giving us ideas on restaurants of what we were looking for, then he would call and make our reservations for us and confirm back to me time, etc. Ropa Vieja was one of our favorites. Tayzan, Chinese, Sushi, and PR food was not great. I would not go back. Serafina, next door to CVH was awesome as well. Great walking distance to Marriott Stellaris Casino. LaConcha Casino didn't do it for us. Highly recommend the walk to Stellaris. Also, there is a market right across the street called H & R Food and Liquors that has a quite a bit of selection of liquor/beer, as well as food items and prepared food such as sandwiches prepackaged. We had a nice sub zero smaller fridge in our room as well as a nice ice maker. Nespresso type machine that uses the pods which were provided. Alto Grando was the pods of choice. The cigar lounge was quite small as I generally sat outside to smoke a cigar once in a while. Tacos and Tequila was good as well. They gave me and my wife both a margarita on the day of my birthday. The pool drinks were awesome. Condado Express was our favorite. Medalla Beer is awesome as well. Low carb with great taste. Airport Duty Free Store sells liquor, beer, and coffee on your way out so you can take home some treasures. Alto Grande coffee was our favorite. Again, CVH was spectacular stay. We want to go back again soon. Knowing what we know now, wouldn't change a thing. Was so relaxing and again, STAFF WAS SPECTACULAR!!!

Tenía todo lo que necesitábamos. Los baños necesitan una renovación como lo están haciendo. Pagué más por una habitación de nivel superior y pensé en renovarla. Eso fue perturbador. Buen desayuno, no excelente pero incluido. Ojalá el estacionamiento fuera menor pero era conveniente. El servicio al cliente fue excelente y la hora feliz también.

Kristian Alwill: Hotel El Convento is an absolutely can’t miss property. each space has a personality all its own from the grand courtyard to tucked away reading nooks and a breathtaking plunge pool. This property is sure to inject your trip to San Juan with a one of a kind energy.The location within old San Juan can’t be beat as you can walk easily to everything and enjoy everything the area has to offer.Rooms aren’t super grand but they were clean and updated.I wish I could give this property 5 stars but when I went to use the gym there appeared to be some flooding mixed with loose electrical wires and plugged in gym equipment. This definitely made me uneasy.

Tiene un patio interior para descansar, muy. coqueto y asistido por una barra, dispone de un gran salón que fue la antigua iglesia del convento, Las habitaciones son amplias y prácticas, sin perder la atmosfera del conjunto, dan mayoritariamente al patio interior.La azotea es un lugar estupendo, con una pequeña piscina y unas vistas impresionantes sobre todo el conjunto de la ciudad.Frente a él, lugares para estar, restaurantes, comercio, etc. Como pasa en el Viejo San Juan, el acceso en carro es algo problemático. También algún problema de accesibilidad, ojo a personas con problemas de movilidad.Si tiene una pega es el servicio, que lo hemos visto escaso.Muy recomendable.

Emily Morrison: We loved staying here. It had everything we needed for restful nights after busy days. Our room was clean, quiet, and felt elevated from more corporate hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t be better. It’s very close to restaurants, bar, coffee shops. The plunge pool is nice and they have a complimentary wine hour. We never ended up eating at their restaurant but it’s in a nice closed in courtyard. We’d stay here again for sure.

MeganKalen Ladnier: Due to the unfortunate events happening with the airlines, we ended up stuck in San Juan for 3 extra days. Delta only provided us with one night stay at Double Tree. After arriving at the hotel, we were told Delta never contacted the hotel to verify rooms for myself and the 4 other people with me. The lack of communication and accommodation from Delta was so disappointing BUT Double Tree did not allow us to be stranded for 3 days with no room. Stephanie and Gadiel at the front desk went above and beyond for us and made sure the 5 of us had rooms for the entire 3 days we are stuck here, covered by Delta. We could not have asked for better customer service. The rooms are great, pool area is beautiful and clean, Pablo is an excellent bartender, everything is top tier. Highly recommend staying here!

Better Reality Coaching: Great hotel and great experience. Only a few minutes from the airport. The hotel is exit 2b and the airport is exit 8. It’s conveniently located to many amenities and the beach. I would be remiss if I didn’t say the walls are paper thin, I heard the microwave from the other one. Any issues I had, had nothing to do with the staff. So overall, I enjoyed everything about my hotel experience from my first encounter with Bryan to the last encounter with the staff at the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. Next time I am in PR, this will be my hotel of choice.

Christine Shoyinka: We had the most wonderful experience! Not only were we in awe of the hotel, pool and beach, the entertainment was also spectacular! Olga Abreu took wonderful care of our room. She was so sweet and kind. Olga did all she could to make us feel comfortable and at home. We were very blessed to have amazing people taking care of us. Mara, another staff member took care of us like family. This was our kids’ first time in Puerto Rico. They will have these wonderful memories forever.

Madeleine San Martin: My husband and I come to Puerto Rico once a year, and we always make sure to book a day pass for a seaside cabana at the Fairmont el San Juan hotel pool. Today, we had Jorge Juan taking care of us at our cabana and the service was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed throughout our 6 hour stay. itsalljones: This is a great place.. Location was wonderful .. right on the beach.. beautiful views.. Service was as expected.. and the beds were very comfortable.. I had difficulty with the in room coffee pot.. and was a little disappointed that the balcony didn't have room for a chair.. and we parked in a lot across the street . We used some reward points to pay for 3 day stay.. So the minor inconveniences weren't a big deal.. Though, if I had paid the regular price with cash, I might have been a little ticked, lol . J Roland: This hotel is great for a girls trip, a romantic getaway, or even for a family trip. The hotel is situated close to several convenience, stores and chain restaurants. The pool is large and has several shaded areas and the beach offers, complementary chair and umbrellas for guest as they arrive. The food at the bar and at the on-site restaurant may not be the best you’ll get in San Juan, but it’ll do the job before you head out to get some of the local fare!

Katherine VM: I stayed at the Royal Sonesta, San Juan in late July of 2024. It was the best hotel experience I had in Puerto Rico. The room was spectacular, clean, comfortable, and an amazing view. They thought of everything. From the beach to the parking, everyone was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The pictures don’t do it justice. You can stay on the premises and have a great vacation but it is such a beautiful island 🏝️ you have to venture out. The area is lively, plenty of attractions nearby and the airport is close so no worries there. I give it a 10/10,. would do it again. and again.Habitaciones: The rooms have city or ocean view. They are roomy, and have a refrigerator in them. The showers have rainfall shower and the decor is up to date. The beds are comfortable and it seems quiet, I didn’t hear my neighbors at all. Definitely worth booking in advance. It’s an amazing experience. Also check Indian caves, all these activities are doable on your own but better with a guide.Seguridad: I saw police patrolling the area regularly, there is a presence. Weisha Jackson: Stayed October of 2021 for 5 days. Upon arrival my room smelled of mold really bad. Was giving me a headache throughout the night but I was moved to a bigger room for an up charge of course. However, overall stay was great. The free breakfast cut down on food expenses and it’s hot buffet. The staff are nice and friendly but didn’t have many English speaking people on duty.Comidas y bebidas: Free happy hour is great! There are snacks and free drinks at the hotel. Also a swim up bar that was really good. Music was a good selection and appropriate! For the price I think it’s a good stay!!

Kris B: Love, love, love. This place is great. I have stayed here twice before and am looking forward to going back. The swim up bar is the best. It can be a bit loud with the airport so close, so ask for a room facing the courtyard. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Totally recommend. Whether you have a quick layover or will be exploring old San Juan, stay here.

Rosangela Olivares: Solo estuve un día y el hotel en general esta muy bonito, linda habitación, piscina, jacuzzi todo limpio.Lo único es que el precio no incluye parking y este vale 27 dólares por noche más taxes y otras cosas que al final terminamos pagando casi 80 dólares.Tampoco incluye desayuno y en el hotel vale 20 dólares mas taxes por persona recomiendo comer en un lugar afuera.

Joshua Diaz: I’m on day 7 of staying at the Palm inn. It has really been great as far as I’m concerned. Is it a 5 star luxury hotel? No. But for what it is, I’ve been very pleased. The location is great. My bedding, towels, and the room in general have been kept fresh since I’ve been here. Any request I have made has been fulfilled. This is an area of mostly old buildings, and challenging infrastructure. Issues are sure to arise that the staff has no immediate control over. Personally, the only thing close to an inconvenience that I’ve experienced was the parking lot gate not opening to let me out. I went back in to ask for help, and the lady working the front desk came out and determined that the system was down. She let me out, and had it serviced by the time I came back. I think most of the comments regarding the “rudeness” of the staff is just a lack of understanding that English is not their primary language. They are able to communicate effectively, but they can’t be expected to control the tone of a language that’s not native to them. They have been very friendly in my opinion.I will be back and will be staying at this hotel again.

Mike Tee: Stayed here in March 2022. Staff was wonderful, pleasant and polite. They greet you every chance they get. Food was really good. 9/10. Drinks were strong especially if you give a nice tip. We left the resort to eat locally but still came back to eat once we realized the food was just as good as the local restaurants. Pool and swim up bar was good. The room was extra spacious and clean. Can’t say enough good things about this resort. Only gripe is it’s VERY CLOSE to the airport so you can see and hear airplanes just about all hours of the day between 6am-11pm. This can be annoying after a while. You have direct access to the beach. Clean and not crowded. Chairs and tables available. Casino on the premises is ok. High floors have amazing ocean views and breeze. Lots of bars and snacks. Overall I give it 9/10. I’ll come back.

Erik Razo: super blue lights light up in the pool with a massive lions head water fall .Beach 10/0It’s located right in the back of the hotel , so the beach is on your location which means you barley have to walk from your hotel to the beach . Man it was white sand warm water clear as can be . I will be back there asap .

Las habitaciones están muy limpias y el personal de limpieza es rápido con cualquier petición que tengas. El personal de la piscina está listo para traerle cualquier pedido rápidamente.Me entristeció mucho cuando el huracán María destruyó el hotel por completo y les llevó algunos años reconstruirlo a la perfección. Aunque todavía hay una pandemia en progreso, me encantaría hacer planes para visitar Puerto Rico y quedarme en mi hotel favorito una vez más.❤
