The man upstairs from us was arrested by the FBI in front of me, and it was really scary, but I dont blame the hostel people for that. Stay here, and leave a nice tip, these people deserve it.

Sherif Azmy: The hostel is located in a very nice neighborhood with a lot of food places and cafes around. There is a bar right across the street which has good drinks and vibes. The staff is absolutely amazing and extremely helpful and friendly, with a lot of good recommendations of things to do and places to go. It is a very social hostel, I travelled solo and I met so many great people and made amazing memories. The hostel also organizes outings every night almost to get you to explore the city and bond with the other people staying in the hostel. Great vibes all across the board

Emily Adams: I had a wonderful experience at this hostel! The rooms have their own bathroom, the staff are excellent, there is a very nice rooftop hangout area with hammocks and a great view, and it’s super social! I hadn’t even finished checking in when a group walked by and asked if I wanted to go to dinner with them and I made friends with every person staying there at the same time as me. They also organize activities and tours such as trips to el yunque and salsa dance lessons. Additionally since it’s a very social hostel many people will be willing to go somewhere with you so you don’t have to go alone. Lo unico malo fue el ban̈o q como se comparte se complica un poco el usarlo pero todo lo demas excelente, rooftop 10/10, cerca de muchos lugares para comer y visitar sin necesidad de montarte en un carro, definitivamente me volveria a quedar aqui.

Cary Martin: I cannot say anything negative about this hostel. The location is perfect right near the beach and restaurants. Staff is great and rooms are clean. There are no bugs. And it is super cheap Only thing I can think of is a larger fridge would be nice but we did make the fridge work for everyone with not much problems. I'm definitely coming back.

Travis Leach: This was my first time staying in a hostel. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The building was kept clean. The sheets were clean and they had towels available to rent. I didn't use the kitchen, but the rooftop space was nice to hangout on. I was surprised that I got the whole room to myself even though I booked one of the bunk bed rooms. I also liked that they had an iron available for free. The only improvement I could think of would be if they had washers/dryers for guests, but not necessary for a pleasant stay.

Fernando Reals: This was an absolutely wonderful hostel for our family to crash at while in Puerto Rico. We were looking for a budget friendly stay and this place was exactly that. We got a private room with two comfortable beds and a private bath but we also got to mix it up with fellow travelers in the common areas. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Had we known we would’ve liked this spot this much we would’ve booked more nights here instead of an Airbnb. The owners are also locals which is nice. Support local.

Jared Arvidson: Conturce Hostel was a great experience. The room was very clean and the staff was great. The rooftop is a good way to meet people at the hostel and I was able to meet some awesome people to travel the city with. The workers at Conturce, Dinelys, Edwin, and Jacqueline were incredibly kind, inviting and helpful. They were really cool and helped out with whatever guests needed while I was there. I’ve stayed in Casa Santurce, Villa Eshta, and Conturce Hostel and Conturce is by far the best option!Actividades cerca de mi ubicación: To visit Old San Juan, you can get on a bus stop right outside the hostel. The bus is free, safe and will take you directly to Old San Juan. Midlands Max: It would have been nice if the linens had been changed once during 4 days. Location was GREAT! WiFi worked GREAT! A/C did not work one night out of 4, and made it impossible to sleep. Was fine the ENTIRE rest of the time; so necessary with the heat levels the whole time.Posibilidad de caminar: It is directly on a major bus route. Bus rides are free until Sept. It was soooo easy to get around to see everything, and the beach is 4 short blocks away.

Janalee Westerman: I had a nice time, the room was clean and the staff was easy to get a hold of. I did have a bunk mate, someone had said she worked at the hostel but I never verified. She was so noisy and was up at least 5 times each night. Normally people are easy going.Posibilidad de caminar: I was able to walk to old San Juan. It was roughly an 1hr 30 but the walk was next to the beach so it was enjoyable. There is a beach 40 feet away and it was beautiful.

Aaron Cookson: My stay started not very good in San Juan! Staying in a hostel was not what I wanted to do. But didn’t have a choice. This hostel was the first on the list. So I booked my stay. And boy did it become the best thing that happened.Yannyelis was there when I had questions and she answered them like a pro. She made my stay top notch. She deserves a raise and all the praise. Yannyelis was so awesomely perfect. I will remember this place for ever and now plan on making the hostel my place to stay.. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.

El lugar es hermoso con entrada muy segura y entrada a la habitación... hablando de habitaciones, eso es lo que obtienes, una habitación. Era similar al dormitorio de una casa. Se puede oír a la gente en el pasillo y a otras personas en otras habitaciones al otro lado del pasillo. Esto podría deberse a que mi habitación está justo en la planta baja y en el pasillo principal junto a la entrada jajaja. No nos molestó porque somos noctámbulos y madrugadores, pero pude ver cómo podría molestar a algunos. Ciertas habitaciones como la que yo tenía NO serían para una familia, pero hay suites en el piso de arriba. Me encantaron las áreas comunes con una pequeña cocina, máquina expendedora, café y un cómodo ambiente tropical en el interior. Debo decir que la ubicación de este hotel compensa cualquier inconveniente de querer explorar el Viejo San Juan. El costo mínimo para llegar a Condado Beach, o a los clubes nocturnos La Placita y otros restaurantes en New San Juan costaba entre $ 6 y 7 por trayecto, cada vez, ¡y aproximadamente 13 minutos! Así que fui al "centro", a la ciudad alegre que suele ser por las noches y me relajé durante los días disfrutando de la belleza y la cultura del Viejo San Juan. Elena Delavega: Beautiful hotel in the best location in Old San Juan. Lovely and safe street close to everything. There is free wifi, free coffee in the morning and a kitchen the guests can use. There is a lovely sitting area that is super comfortable and pleasant. The hotel is clean and there is someone at reception 24 hours a day. Kevin Chin: Very friendly staff, great location and kept quite clean. The 16 person dorm was surprisingly easy to sleep in. Beds offer privacy, but lack charging outlets. Brought a power bank to remedy this. Plenty of other outlets throughout the hostel though. The rooftop was a great spot to get some fresh air and view of the city and the kitchen is well equipped.

Now on antibiotics for the week.Overall, I felt that my stay at the hostel was worth the $30 per day that I paid for the week. Here is a breakdown of my experience:ROOMMATES: I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and welcoming my roommates were. It made me feel at ease, especially since it was my first time sleeping in a room with 16 strangers. Room was really great a night and I found it to be pretty quiet besides people partying outside of the Hostel. However, I did find it a bit strange that there were cleaning volunteers bunking with us in the room. Ideally, I believe that volunteers should have their own separate accommodations to avoid any potential discomfort for the guests. Additionally, there was an older male cleaning volunteer who made some people uncomfortable by being overly interactive with younger girls. This behaviour definitely impacted the overall atmosphere of the space and I was hearing that this was making a few women feel uncomfortable unfortunately.AMENITIES: I was provided with a comfortable bed, complete with a blanket, pillow, and towel. Despite the open layout of the bunks, I felt that they offered a decent level of privacy. However, I did find the beds to be a bit small in length, as my feet would hang over the edge.One major inconvenience was the limited number of outlets in the room. With only three outlets shared between 16 people, it was challenging to charge devices, especially if you wanted to use them in bed. I would recommend bringing a portable charger to alleviate this issue.The bathroom situation was not ideal, as there was only one bathroom for all 16 people in the room. Although there was an additional bathroom down the hallway with two showers, two private toilets, and two sinks, it was inconvenient to have to carry all your belongings over there. In addition to this, the showers barley had hot water which sucked.The kitchen facilities were great, and I didn't have any issues apart from sharing the fridge. It was quite full, making it difficult to find space for my own items. Additionally, labeling your belongings was necessary to ensure they weren't mistakenly taken by others. Additionally, there was a leak in the kitchen ceiling, which was quite inconvenient.One major downside was the amount of mosquitoes in the hostel. There were significantly more mosquitoes inside than outside, and I ended up with over 10 mosquito bites.In terms of cleanliness, the hostel was generally well-maintained and pretty clean considering it was shared accommodations.SERVICE: Upon my arrival, I experienced difficulty in locating the Hostel and phoned the number available on the website for guidance. A gentleman answered and assured me that someone would be present at the entrance to welcome me. Unfortunately, no one arrived. I managed to enter the Hostel when a fellow guest exited to smoke. Inside, I noticed that there were no service workers available. After asking another person, eventually, the older guy, who was a volunteer cleaner provided me with a brief tour and the keys to the hostel and locker.One negative experience I had was when a fellow guest in the upper bunk left and threw his dirty towel on my bed. I found this to be extremely rude and unhygienic. Unfortunately, I had to guess which towel was mine, as I would have had to pay an additional $20 for a new one. It would have been appropriate if the hostel had changed my sheets and provided a new towel at no cost due to this inconvenience and it not being a mistake on my end.Another issue I encountered was with the key cards. They stopped working after a certain time, and since there weren't any on-site workers, it was possible to get trapped outside at late hours.AREA: The location of the hostel was amazing, as it was within walking distance to beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies. I felt extremely safe in the area.

La televisión no funcionaba, pero en general la habitación estaba limpia y era cómoda. Pasamos un rato en la azotea pero no usamos los jacuzzis. El desayuno del restaurante era bueno. Tuvimos un buen servicio por parte de los camareros y de la recepción. Excelente ubicación para explorar el viejo San Juan. Disfrutamos nuestra estancia. Vale el precio.

She moved us to an updated unit that was amazing. She was so sweet and concerned over our situation that she truly made us feel like we were her only concern even though there were other customers that were having the same problem. Mercedes Pons: We’re for 2 nights. It’s very very well located in old San Juan. Walking distance to restaurants, night life and historical sites.Breakfast is not included, but it’s very good. I loved the latte coffee and Pasia breakfast had some delicious arepas.On the top roof a nice pool with seats to chill out and beautiful views.Uber from airport was around 25$ and I’m really enjoying my time here.Habitaciones: Rooms are very spacious with kitchen, AC, TV. We had a bedroom with king bed. And there was a sofa bed in the living room that we used for my son. Only one bathroom in the bedroom. It worked for us because we’re all family.

Antonio and Fernando were incredibly helpful. At Kumo, we fell in love with our new server, Dulce. GiGi took great care of us on the beach, and Raphael was always a professional, happy to see us, and we him! The beach attendant, Jose, worked really hard to ensure our comfort, and he earned every gratuity. in 12 years, we have been to Puerto Rico 13 times with 11 stays at San Juan Water Beach Club Hotel. We can't wait to come back.

Kristian Alwill: Hotel El Convento is an absolutely can’t miss property. each space has a personality all its own from the grand courtyard to tucked away reading nooks and a breathtaking plunge pool. This property is sure to inject your trip to San Juan with a one of a kind energy.The location within old San Juan can’t be beat as you can walk easily to everything and enjoy everything the area has to offer.Rooms aren’t super grand but they were clean and updated.I wish I could give this property 5 stars but when I went to use the gym there appeared to be some flooding mixed with loose electrical wires and plugged in gym equipment. This definitely made me uneasy.

Tiene un patio interior para descansar, muy. coqueto y asistido por una barra, dispone de un gran salón que fue la antigua iglesia del convento, Las habitaciones son amplias y prácticas, sin perder la atmosfera del conjunto, dan mayoritariamente al patio interior.La azotea es un lugar estupendo, con una pequeña piscina y unas vistas impresionantes sobre todo el conjunto de la ciudad.Frente a él, lugares para estar, restaurantes, comercio, etc. Como pasa en el Viejo San Juan, el acceso en carro es algo problemático. También algún problema de accesibilidad, ojo a personas con problemas de movilidad.Si tiene una pega es el servicio, que lo hemos visto escaso.Muy recomendable.

Emily Morrison: We loved staying here. It had everything we needed for restful nights after busy days. Our room was clean, quiet, and felt elevated from more corporate hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t be better. It’s very close to restaurants, bar, coffee shops. The plunge pool is nice and they have a complimentary wine hour. We never ended up eating at their restaurant but it’s in a nice closed in courtyard. We’d stay here again for sure.

El empleado multitarea de la recepción de Pedro es una persona excelente y sorprendente con un servicio al cliente maravilloso, nunca te deshagas de él. Viajé sola por una emergencia familiar y hablar con Pedro me hizo sentir a gusto. Jackie Torres: My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Place for 4 nights. Every night we stayed no matter who was at the front desk, treated us so respectfully and at our service. They answered every question we had and even suggested nice place to visit. All staff members were great and very cordial. I will recommend it and will revisit again. Oh, and the 24/7 snack was the best. The Breakfast and food at The Platery were also great.

Lisa Quach: Stayed in Room 1111 mid-July. The room had 2 double beds. Bathroom tub could use an upgrade but everything else was clean. The balcony was private and the oceanfront room had an amazing view. Housekeeping came everyday:For elite members, you can go next to the lobby to get water, soda, chips during the day from concierge. You can choose between points or breakfast coupon… the coupon is for the buffet at the restaurant next to the pool area. There is an omelet bar, fruits, meats & cheese, pastries, bacon, sausage, quinoa, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and some other things… it’s not like an all-inclusive resort breakfast but it was not bad at all. Included mimosas. On Friday night, there was also a cocktail hour event for elite members in the lobby/bar. They provided small items as sliders and desserts. Parking for elite members is also reduced. The valet parking guys are soooo nice!They have a schedule of events such as movie night or s’mores…The staff was wonderful. They gave me a small bottle of wine in a gift bag when I mentioned it was my birthday.The casino bar is open until 3am and Angel is one of the best bartenders ever. Makes a really good Miami Vice too! They will give you $30 “match” coupon… go to service desk and they’ll give you what looks like Monopoly money and you can use with your cash to make a bet… gotta spend money to make money.Location: nearby restaurants… there’s a variety within walking distance… for late night, dulce la vida and the spot next door is open until 4am… there is also a Walgreens and 24hour store next the hotel so you can always buy what you need… including liquor. They stop selling liquor at 2am!There are people on the beach to set up chairs for you. You can order food and they’ll bring it to you. Card or Room charge only. There’s also a guy who sells these pineapple slush things inside a pineapple, it’s $20 with liquor and completely worth it!!!Would only stay here if I came back to PR.

Celebrando 30 años con mi Hermosa Reina, pasamos un tiempo fabuloso, el SVC fue excelente, el acceso a la playa fue increíble con protección de seguridad, lo cual fue bueno ver que tenían todas las comodidades que se publicaron... Solo 1 inconveniente Registro RETRASADO . Pero definitivamente volveremos a visitarlo.

Brandon Cleaver: Outstanding experience. The staff was completely awesome. There were a few minor things that came up. But was well overlooked. I wish I remembered everyone’s name who helped. My only complaint was eating outside for breakfast, was a bad experience especially for the price, but they have a bakery inside which I do recommend. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade. That was very much appreciated. Overall amazing experience. One thing that is undeniable was the housekeeping service was outstanding. Absolute kudos to the housekeeping team. The hotel felt very clean and safe!

Christine Shoyinka: We had the most wonderful experience! Not only were we in awe of the hotel, pool and beach, the entertainment was also spectacular! Olga Abreu took wonderful care of our room. She was so sweet and kind. Olga did all she could to make us feel comfortable and at home. We were very blessed to have amazing people taking care of us. Mara, another staff member took care of us like family. This was our kids’ first time in Puerto Rico. They will have these wonderful memories forever.

Madeleine San Martin: My husband and I come to Puerto Rico once a year, and we always make sure to book a day pass for a seaside cabana at the Fairmont el San Juan hotel pool. Today, we had Jorge Juan taking care of us at our cabana and the service was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed throughout our 6 hour stay. He was super kind and communicative, and he helped to make our day a great one! Thank you Jorge Juan!

Matt Hamilton: Nice, simple place to stay. Excellent view of the sea from the top terrace. Loved all the plants and little fountain. There's not much in the area as it's more residential, but that also meant it was quiet.
