Our evening began with the Onion Cream and Burrata appetizers. The Onion Cream, rich and velvety, elevated the traditional soup with its deeply flavored broth and caramelized onions. The Burrata was a delightful surprise, topped with a sweet jam instead of the usual tomatoes, creating a unique and harmonious flavor profile.The Pumpkin Ravioli was a highlight, with its delicate pasta and subtly sweet pumpkin filling balanced by a sage-infused butter sauce. Equally impressive was the RibEye, cooked to perfection with a tender, marbled texture and a flavorful sear, accompanied by perfectly baked potatoes and a robust red wine reduction.The service, provided by Mar, was outstanding. Her attentiveness, menu knowledge, and genuine warmth created an atmosphere of effortless elegance, enhancing our culinary journey.In conclusion, Casa Italia's Onion Cream, unique Burrata, Pumpkin Ravioli, and RibEye are standout dishes that showcase the restaurant's commitment to excellence. Hasta ahora, para mí, han sido los mejores raviolis que he comido aquí en Puerto Rico. La próxima no pido aperitivo para tener espacio para el postre. Pregunten por los platos del día, no están en el menú ni los postres.10/10

Service was excellent and personalized.Started with the lobster ravioli and the house bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.We ordered a bottle of a pairing white wine.I ordered the lobster linguine in vodka sauce which was delicious although the lobster is slightly overcooked.My wife ordered the mignon with dates sauce over a shrimp risotto. Cooked at perfection. J M: . I didn't have a reservation and was seated immediately. The risotto was absolutely delicious, as was the pumpkin soup. I honestly felt transported back to Venice, Italy with the simple yet elegant decor. Two thumbs up, treat yourself to a delicious meal and enjoy the top-notch treatment from the fabulous servers!
Greg: Pasamos el 18 de junio de 2024. No teníamos reservas, pero la anfitriona dijo "No hay problema" y rápidamente nos acomodó. Mi marido tenía el pesto Gnocchi Freschi. Comí pechuga de pollo con salsa de crema y verduras. La comida era deliciosa y las porciones eran grandes. Sólo había dos mujeres trabajando en el comedor. Hicieron un gran trabajo turnándose en las mesas, preparando cócteles y controlando a todos.Ninguna queja en absoluto.

Los ñoquis y los ravioles son platos destacados, ambos llenos de auténticos sabores italianos. El servicio es súper atento, potenciando el ambiente acogedor e íntimo. Convenientemente ubicado en el Viejo San Juan, esta es una visita obligada para los amantes de la cocina italiana.
Katherine Calanni: 10/10! ¡Este lugar es tan bueno! No teníamos reservas pero nos acomodaron, lo cual agradecemos. Todos fueron muy, muy amables, especialmente nuestra camarera Iria. La comida era increíble y las porciones eran enormes. Tenemos los ñoquis con salsa de crema y la boloñesa, ambos estaban deliciosos. Definitivamente lo recomiendo si anhelas un buen italiano mientras estés en SJU.

Nilsa Rodriguez: First time visit, it is authentic Italian food, pastas & sauce are made by owners. Portions are regular servings, atmosphere & decor of restaurant feel & look as to experience a family owed place in Italy. The food was excellent! The place is very, very small, to secure sitting suggest to make reservations. Walk-ins are allowed. The owners are attentive & very nice. The prices are med to high, and the menu has a hugh selection a bit overwhelming. We asked the owner to recommend as an first visit, and it was the 1st & 2nd dishes from the menu picture added to this post. It is street parking. I am a local and recommend this place. 👌

Arte y Pastelería: No me gustan los ñoquis, pero los de este restaurantes son exquisitos, tan tiernos, tan suaves, frescos y deliciosos... La pasta que no recuerdo su nombre, rellena de peras, wow, una exquisitez. La burrata, divina y la tarta de avellanas bien deliciosa.Hemos visitado Italia varias veces y tenemos nuestras experiencias como referencia. Acá nuestro hobby es visitar restaurantes los fines de semana y este restaurante definitivamente tiene comida de altura. Es increíble que en Puerto Rico puedas conseguir un lugar que represente tan bien la comida auténtica italiana y me atrevo a decir que es mejor que muchos restaurantes que hemos visitado en diferentes lugares de Italia.Les deseo mucho éxito.

Mmm, todo un deleite a paladar!Si si! Los postres! PannaCotta, CheeseCake de Pistachio, Mascarpone y Chocolatte y para terminar los Shots de Frangelico. Wao! Wayne Jentis: , and the burrata salad was equally enjoyable and the generous sampling of bruschetta were equally enjoyable appetizers. The lamb chops were top notch, the pasta special with ribeye was delicious as were the gnocchi. The dessert to have was the light, moist and tasty tres leches. The next time in San Juan, we will definitely be back.

It is a small intimate place so make reservations, they even brought me out a candle with whipped cream to wish me a happy birthday!Again this is some of the best food we have had yet on vacation! I’m looking forward to authentic Puerto Rican Cuisine but for my birthday this chef nailed Italian!

I’m a sucker for expresso martinis and so far this has been the best expresso martini I have had in my whole life, and I lived in NYC. the service, the atmosphere and service was the best compared to carbone in NYC. I’m obsessed, this was the best experience so far in PR. Come visit its worth every penny and cent. The bartender Angelica was also a beast!!!Update: just had the manchego cheese flan and Jesus I’m not sure if I will survive if I don’t have this again! This was astonishing! I’m so happy!!!

With just a few tables, the cozy space often fills quickly, so reservations are highly recommended to secure a spot.The service is very attentive, and the staff is friendly. The food is fantastic. For starters, the Bruschetta Platter, which offered six toasts topped with a variety of delicious options - my favorite was the one with eggplant. Moving on to the main course, the Fettuccine alla Boscaiola was a highlight, boasting a rich and flavorful sauce paired with a generous portion of pasta. The risotto, while enjoyable, was not on the same level of excellence as the fettuccine.They have some house cocktails; I tried their signature drink, the Flor de Bacaro, which was refreshing and simple. For dessert, the Tiramisu was a perfect, mouthwatering end to the meal.They accept credit cards, and as with most of Old San Juan, parking can be a challenge. Opt for nearby paid parking to ensure a hassle-free visit.

Puede que sea un ignorante, pero no estaba seguro de qué esperar al ir a un restaurante italiano en el Viejo San Juan. Sin embargo, las críticas que había leído no estaban equivocadas.
