L Scalise: No puedo decir nada malo al respecto. Al principio estábamos con otras personas que habían buceado antes, así que todos pensamos que seríamos los más lentos del grupo. Pero descubrí que te separaron, por lo que nuestro pequeño grupo fue el primero en salir. Tuvimos a nuestro guía Sam, que fue increíble. Fue paciente con todos nosotros y nos hizo sentir muy cómodos. Estoy seguro de que las otras guías son igual de buenas, pero si consigues a Sam, estás en buenas manos. Sin duda volvería a hacer esto. Incluso si nunca antes has practicado buceo, lo disfrutarás. ¡Asombroso!

Whetu Tattoo Shop & Piercing: I had Matt as my diving instructor he was fantastic! Very thorough and patient and made me feel right at ease. I also had Henry there as well and he was fantastic and took pictures while i was diving. Definitely recommend this place and them both.

Scott Hamilton: We went snorkeling with Scuba Dogs and it was a great experience. They trained everyone and led you in the snorkel adventure in a safe cove. We saw many colorful fish and swam with a sea turtle in the wild. They were really good. I would highly recommend them.

Tom Blanchard: Great place to get your Open Water Dive certification. Instead of doing a pool dive, you get to into their controlled ocean environment. Make the transition much easier to the open water dive. I worked with Paco. He was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

Anthony Santiago: Great dives and people who work here. Escambrón is a nice, easy dive spot all levels of divers can enjoy. Hit a max of ~26ft and saw a manatee, squid, turtles, and tons of beautiful fish. Our guide Joshua was very knowledgeable and super cool. Highly recommended !

Caleb Principe: Visited Playero Surf Shop in Calle Loiza while on a short visit here in Puerto Rico. They have a great variety of surf brands that we know plus their own Playero branded clothing. I purchased hoodies for both of my sons and one for myself. These technical hoodies seem expensive but they’re made of the same material as the major brand from Baltimore, MD. If you compare prices, it’s in the same range with the exception that they have the Playero graphic designs. Same great quality as back in 1977, they last a very long time. Full disclosure, I grew up here in Isla Verde and this was the T-Shirt to have back then. I’ve had Playero T-shirts, short and long sleeve, which lasted for many years. The quality is the same and so are the graphic designs. The hoodie I bought for myself is the vintage graphic design from the original long sleeve, Playero stamp on the left breast pocket, and stamp on the lower right sleeve. You can imagine the fond memories that came back when I saw it hanging on the rack….And, like-father-like son, my older son is now a Playero fan. He bought himself a full kit of swimsuit, T-Shirt, had, and other accessories while we were here on vacation this Summer..So, whether you are an old-timer like me or just visiting Puerto RIco, if you’re into surfing or the beach, you need to get yourself some of this gear, just like people who visit Hawaii get their surfing mementos. Give them a visit while you’re here. You will not be disappointed!

If you're normal size and want a big selection of swimwear and don't mind spending a bit more this is a good place. Noted that they sell other brands like body glove and hurley at the retail price without a big markup.
